urchins and acrylic tanks: yes or no ?

As subject, would you suggest some urchins in acrylic tanks ? I've read multiple (opposite) opinions...

I rarely see mine on the glass, it is usually on the rock. I would say it do it but they could scratch the acrylic. They can take the top layer off of rock.

£1000 tank and a £10 urchin, is it really worth the risk to have one?
