Is getting stuck in a powerhead an issue for them? He’s hanging out on top of it right now and I’m wondering if I should move him.

I have some anemone guards for them but those get full of algae really fast and it requires shutting off my tank to put them on.

Anyone know what kind he is? Sold to me as a pincushion but doesn’t pick things up. He is racketball size and slightly pink.

It should be fine mine clean off the powerheads all the time it looks like a pincushion is it orange under the spines ?

He is new to me and a little washed out but I think so. Pinkish orange maybe. I thought pincushions liked to wear stuff same as tuxedos, but he hasn’t picked anything up since I got him over the weekend and it’s not for lack of little shells and rubble for him to find. He is actively cruising and feeding so I’m sure he’ll color up a bit once he settles in some more.

It sounds fine it’ll pickup stuff eventually as long as it’s feeding and not losing spines you’re all good. Enjoy urchins are some of my favorite
