I have a question. I have had my saltwater tank 3 month and I have a urchin that completely ate my soft coral. What the heck is going on? Now I'm afraid to get more corals. Can anyone give me some advise on these creatures? I absolutely love them.

Some commonly Available urchins are not reef safe pencil urchins come to mind aswell as rock boring urchins. So assuming it one of those that’s probably your issue. Tuxedo urchins and pincushion are some of the best urchins available they’re captive bred, reef safe and non venomous while long spines are reef safe but are venomous

Thank you for educating me. I need it. lol

I see the urchin has expensive tastes. High class

I have longspines, tuxedos and pincushions. One of them eats corals. All the zoas, blastos and leathers. I have never seen them do it though.
