Hi so a about a month ago I got a pair of occy clowns as babies, no more than an inch long, to the point now the female I suspect? Is around 2 inches so has doubled in size tho the smaller one looks as if if he's lucky to have grown a centimeter at most. The big one looks healthy and is nice and plump. However the smaller one looks really skinny. They sleep together and stuff and I'm not sure if they have just paired in the past week as the bigger one is nipping at the smaller one. Should I put the male in a breeder box for a few weeks to fatten him up or is he OK just because I think they have just paired.. These where from the same shop at the same time not sure if maybe they where brothers? Thanks I just don't want him dying as I feel I've done good with the tank for a first time corals have doubled in size tank prams perfect. Cheers

The male will stay much smaller. I suspect it's just a matter of the female establishing dominance and transitioning to female but try to make sure the little one gets some food.

Keep an eye out for white stringy poops which would mean I internal parasites.

OK so I shouldn't worry just now as long as he's eating and just let the bigger one nip him as there pairing? Also sorry silly question but it won't matter if there from the same family will it? Cheers

Not silly at all. I suspect it is just pairing and it wont matter if they are related.

I have 3 clowns one is about 3” another 2” and the third 1”

mall are about 4 years old and been together in the same tank about 2 years. The little one legit hasn’t grown since the day I got him. They all bicker here and there. You’ll see they shake as a sign of submission to the bigger one

Ye I see them doing it like a figure 8 movement and they do sleep together. I want an anemone but I've been told there to difficult would they host a Duncan coral?
