I upgraded from a 30 gallon reef to an 80 gallon 2 days ago. I took all the fish and inverts and put them in a 10 gallon for a few hours while i switched everything over. The only fihs in the tank wa a pair of maroon clowns. Everything from the old tank went into the new one, live rock, live sand filter etc. I added some more sand and dead rock. My parameters are all good. The last thing I put back was my pair of maroon clowns. They are swimming around and looking fine. The male is more shy but he always was. My only concern is they don't seem to have any interest in eating. I have tried the normal flake a couple of times and they just swim right past it. Should I keep trying to feed them? Or maybe try some mysis? Or maybe just wait a couple of days ant try again? i don't want a lot of uneaten food in the tank obviously but yet I am hoping they will start eating again soon. Any help would be appreciated.

They have to get use to there new home. I'd try the mysis if they don't like that then wait a day.

They are probably just stressed with all the changes. I would try feeding them a small meal tomorrow. I have a feeling they will eat then.

Don't worry if the fish look fine and were eating fine before the move. Let them adjust to the move. A healthy fish can go over a week without food without any ill effects.

yea id say give them a couple of days, if theyre still not eating then, then id get a little worried but after a move its just stressful for them

I cut the lighting down to actinics and gave them a small amount of frozen mysis. The female is eating for sure and i think the male may heve gotten a couple of bites. I just noticed they are digging out a hole under the cave I made for them so it looks like they are starting to settle in. Thanks for the advice everyone I guess I got a little hyper lol. These guys are my favorites by far and would hate to lose them. I am debating keeping them as the only fish in the tank with lps and sps. Or , I may try a small school or chromis just to liven things up a little and help the clowns settle in. I will keep you posted.
