This is mostly urgent because I leave town in 11 hours for 2 weeks and I just saw this critter in my tank. I think it is a nudibranch but am stumped how it got in here. No new additions other than acro frags on plugs for over 10 years. I know zip about nudibranchs and I would like to know if it could be harmful to my SPS dominant tank? Or do they multiply quickly so I'll come home to a herd of them (shades of aiptasia disaster my tank is still dealing with) I know some nudis supposedly eat aiptasia but no idea how to ID them. Any advice would be appreciated. Basically I want to know if I should yank this thing from my tank before I leave town????
Is it good? is it bad? it definitely isn't ugly

best shot I could get of its dorsal surface....water movement made all the fronds on its back which are of varying lengths, thicknesses and some are single, some are forked wave around too much to get a clear image.

When in doubt , get it out.

With the short amount of time , and the lack of detail in top picture , I don’t see a quick or happy Id.

Yeah, I agree. Tried to ID him but definitely doesn't look like Aiptasia eating kind so I'm going to get rid of it. The sump idea is good but if that thing is bad and lays eggs in there while Im gone i'd regret it. Thanks for the prompt replies everyone.

Fudsey was putting a call out on your behalf to the Reef Squad and KJ to get as many eyes on this as possible
Thanks, I'm pretty clueless about computer stuff. Rely pretty heavily on my kids to help me out.
I got rid of the mystery critter....is there a way to close or lock this thread so others don't waste their time since the issue is resolved?
