URGENT* HELP! Bubbles in silicone!

Not sure, but still not a good sign.

So in the white patches towards the top of the tank, it doesn't appear to be bubbles. It looks like just a cloudy patch of silicone. Do you think thats just silicone being pulled away from the other pane of glass? Or is it just the way it dried perhaps?

So we are going to have the tank replaced by our LFS for a new one. It'll be the same style. I expect there to be micro bubbles in the silicone again, I'm just hoping it isn't as severe.

It'll be here tomorrow.

We had a specific budget in mind so this was really our only option unfortunately.

Very cool! So many manufacturer related horror stories begin just like yours. It's a good change of pace to see one get resolved so quickly.

Good deal!

Here are the new seams... looks like the last one but less severe. I'm beginning to think they all look like this.

I just barely pulled on the top of the glass, and more bubbles appear... As soon as I relieve the pressure, the bubbles go away.

I don't even know what to say.

Well, here is a picture of the new tank. It has 1 or two bubbles in the seams, but they appear to be purely cosmetic; not THOUSANDS of them like the ML tanks.

I'll be adding another AI Hydra 26 to the tank next week, so no judgement on the single fixture I have now. :p I'll be adding more LR as well.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me through these tough times!

Glad to hear you got a good resolution. I'm seeing the same thing in one of my seams and am thinking it's also time for a new tank

What year and month were those 93 cube made ?
