Urgent help. Gem tang with clamp fin :(

Can anyone tell what disease my gem tang has? He was swimming fine just a few days ago but it seems the disease is spreading more and more and his fin is now clamped on one side. He still eats like a pig, but is only swimming with one fin atm. I feel really bad for him and wish to treat him ASAP. Also, the discoloration on his fin is spreading more. It wasn’t there 2 days ago.

Was this fish treated at all when acquired?

How long have you had the fish?

Any spots present? Any rapid breathing, flashing, scratching?

Other tank mates? Could it be an injury?

I think I’ve a few clarification question,

Is that fish swimming or sitting a bottom of your tank?

Any spots on the tag, especially on fins, tail?
Does it have fungus like stuff by his fins?

When did you add this tang? If it new, did you quarantine and treat him?

The first thing I see is that it’s very thin. Leave nori for it, feed some ocean nutrition formula two flakes, and mixed frozen foods soaked in Selcon, Zoe, or Vita Chem. Feed as much as it will eat in a two minute period several times per day.

On the condition, I’m not seeing anything in the photos so I await your answers to the others’ questions here

Looks malnutritioned as 4fordfamily indicated. Lots of nori seaweed for the future and LRS omnivore diet along with omega foods comes to mind to fatten it up

Yeah, I used melafix for about a week and he was able to heal up.

Yes I did selcon and garlic. I still do it to this day.

Thank you. I ordered selcon and vitachem. Do you soak the selcon and garlic together? I was wondering if you knew if I could soak all 3 of them or should I separate them?

You can soak them all together. Just a little tank water and soak with the vitamins and garlic for 10-15 mins.
