thank you.

No problem. There's lots more great info available on quarantine tanks. A simple Google search will find lots of sources. It's one of the BEST habits you can have with new additions, and it sounds like you have an excellent reason to start. ;)

One question I have 6 fish do I need a different tank for each fish or I can place them all together?

I am on my way to buy live rock and a air pump filter for qt

Carbon reactor and RO/DI check I'll look for them at my local pet shop

If you find a REAL fish store, they may hold your fish for you. Do lots of water changes. Cycle will be longer but less dramatic.

What size is that tank?

Going to need to do a series of water changes to keep the ammonia in check --- can do a lot of damage to your fish.

I am going to ask if they can hold my fish.
I have a 55 gallon tank.
So once I get home I will need to take out my fish acclimate my fish to the QT or bring them to my pet shop.
Then cycle my tank using ammonia I have the pure ammonia from ace hardware.

Thanks for all the help. I will be hopefully learning more.

Unless you have some seeded medium to put in the QT, you are still going to have an ammonia issue. Might even be a bigger issue in the QT, which most likely will have less water volume.
So, IMO, unless you can return them to the LFS, I would leave them in the main tank, and do water changes to manage the ammonia.

The fish are already in the main tank, if they have any diseases, it is already in the tank, and it would have be run fallow for 8-12 weeks.

Oh okay I was recommended to get a qt tank I was going ask my lfs if I could buy a seeded medium I guess I have a third option then if the don't sell I will be able to stick it out hope for best. Do seachem stability and prime help to maintain my fish relatively safe? Isn't what prime is for with the toxins?

A QT is a good thing --- recommended. However at this point the fish are already in the tank. So, unless you want to run it fishless for 8-12 weeks (( which would kill off any parasites/diseases )), there isn't much of a point to it at this juncture.

Prime should help, but water changes will work better -- IMO.

You can do both (( and the best choice )), but it will be a bit more difficult --- however in the long run it will pay off.

There are 5 fish correct? Including a tang, how big is it?
