Had a random death in the QT tank



I've had that I thought were copods on the glass



When I took the dead fish out noticed these were on the fish



Stnage thing is there is copper in the system so how would pods survive

Copepods can tolerate copper

And you think there are copods.. They looked long to me?

I also have no idea why these died it's had 8 days of copper.. No signs of desiese other fish seem fine also
Feeding one day next dead

Those sorta look like amphipods but I am not 100% sure

Ive put the body in ro water cant see any flukes etc

Are the raised bumps just air bubbles, or are they on the skin (not the moving pods, the stationary spots).

There no stationary spots etc.. Just the things that are moving

But where would pods have come from? Did you dump the water that the fish came in into your QT?

I had pipe fish in there so was adding pods daily.. Then I left the tank running untill I bought more fish.. Assume from there
