oh have you tried the black Forrest ones or the harribo ones? It’s hard to find the Black Forest ones but so yummy. Most of the time all the grocery stores carry the haribo ones. If you put them in th fridge and get them cold they are amazing with cold milk.

Good morning,
Curious, has anyone been so tired you would think you just go home and fall asleep? Yet lol every time a dog barks or super loud vehicle whatever wakes you up. But the worst part is when we wake up two hours before the alarm goes off and for the love of shining shoes with banana peals you just can’t. Does one just lay on the couch or bed and dread wow I have to go to work in two hours and be there for 24, why am I not asleep? I guess sometimes being lazy, has its perks, but most of the time has consequences lol. For being the only one in my home, it’s pretty easy to do chores. For those who have full families, and work full time does any one ever wonder why people so exhausted?

Kind of hard for someone with a schedule like yours to get a good rhythm going, as far as sleep. I know I can't sleep without some ambient noise. If you have trouble with outside noise disturbing your sleep, maybe try to get a small fan and let it run by your bed while you are sleeping. I have been doing that for years.
I also try to not just lay there trying to fall back asleep. I will get up and read something boring for 15-20 minutes to get my mind off of whatever is keeping me from falling asleep and then go crawl back in bed to sleep until the alarm goes off. I have sleep apnea and the C-pap machine does help me sleep better.

Good morning wow super early morning (I should be asleep right now)
So after my tank has gone through this (get her back guys she neglected us) my tank is stable, well so it seems to be. My newest dilemma, and it makes no sense to me or why. So now that my tank has been stable again and back to the old way, meaning two lights, and nitrates back to the 2-5 and phosphates .025 (or usually between the first and second pic on the api test) corals and the tank are doing great except my acros from my lfs only.
My fourth one now acro finally stl, on me. It bloody started right in the middle where I simply couldn’t get to it. Not to Mention I kinda had to break it loose once it bleached. Now this is what’s odd and for acros only and some acans. Only acros that I have had for years and years which was like five total, have not recovered from the salt spike and nitrate drop of 6 when it happened.
All of my no name chap acros (still love them) are slowly dying. All of the acros that I bought as frags online are doing really good. They all have their polyps out and for example two lost their color my pc rainbow and something in Spain lost some color but the Polyps are out and they are encrusting like crazy. My ora red planet, pearl berry purple stag, smurf acro, and fuzzy purple stags are going crazy. My wells and trac seem much happier and same with my ultra acans and micromusa.
I have no idea why on my lfs acros that they seem to not handle this. I have to frag one of them today, so I don’t lose all of it. I can’t wait any longer or it also could be gone. I did find out that every acro they sell is wild ocean grown and seem to prone to being super super sensitive. The ones that have grown from a tank are just tanks. I have no idea what to correct to fix the problem.
I’m not dosing fuel, and I have totally ween d the tank off of the redsea no3, stuff. Still feed the same and was giving oyster feast (out now) but get more fuel and feast. Also my intake on alk and calcium has really slowed down. I normally have always dozed and Tuesday’s Thursday’s and Saturday’s, now I dosed Tuesday but when I did my alk was 9 and cal was 460. Usually it’s a 7 and 400 every two days.
In addition my tiny little cyano out break is kinda clinching to the life pole. It starts to go away but kinda comes back. There is maybe a total of three square inches in the entir tank but spread only under each of the lower wave makers. Changing flow and reducing lights has prevented it from growing more. I have reduced the nutrients going in.
Any other suggestions, I really am trying not to hit it chemiclean.

There's always the possibility that the acros have some pests, depending on how you dipped or quarantined them, and I've heard that wild/mari acros often come with pests. I assume you know what signs to look for? In general though, wild and mariculture acros are less forgiving than aquacultured acros.

@jolt the corals that are doing this have been in my old 125 and now my new 240 for almost four years. I have always dipped any coral that I buy. Don’t want any pests lol. But not sure what to look for, most of the time it just starts with the tissue coming off slow usually right in bottom middle. But they were all fine just about two months ago and growing great. The two that had tissue lost in 9 hours total loss was do to my lol my dad topping my tank off with five gallons of salt water instead of ro. So the salinity went to 1.031 from 1.025. The alk that morning was at 8 and cal 440. When I tested again after draining 10 of the salt water and adding 15 ro water my alk went seas at 6. So I dosed the alk back up. Now over the last month two have had slow tissue loss so maybe I should break them from the rocks and dip them and then clip what’s good off and replant maybe

I'm still new to acros in a way, but whenever I've seen loss start in the middle like this it seems to have been one of two things: (1) my nutrients are too low, or (2) I need to change out my RODI media. I have not had a big salinity swing so no experience with how to recover from that.

Umm lol not sure where they went to medical school, but there is no way I could do that lol. Nope, but I’m pretty sure it has all been done. Brave brave souls doing that lol, I don’t even think I could wear normal shorts under my graduation gown. I wore a dress, but that’s because they had a dress code actually.

Lol it’s not tall enough that’s for sure, I think 29 inches maybe 28. Oh nope wait lol it’s 24 inches tall according to the tape measure. But even when I stand up tall like straight lol I can barley see over the top of my tank. I had to take my niece to the dentist she still has pearly whites and cavity free
yay so proud of her. She earned a reward and was asked to show the puppy how to brush his teeth. Oh and she is finally above 30 pounds and she is almost 6, so proud Oh and ahhh does fts stand for fish tank stand and thanks ))

It looks like the stand that I had under my old 200 Oceanic. It was only 24" tall. What a pain!
How tall will your stand be for the 400 something? Need to leave room for a taller skimmer - and more headroom for your nephew - he is growing, I am sure.

Hello,
So I am having the 425 stand almost 36 inches tall. This will be taller than me by far lol. Plus it will be 30 inches deep and I went with the same depth of 34 and 96 long so it’s a huge bath tub. As I was looking at protein skimmers nothing really fits unless I do the 36 inch stand which means 36 and 34 will be 70 inches tall so almost six feet.
When I go to put the rock and sand in the tank, I may as well have a friend there with me. Well maybe two friends lol so I can just sit in the tank and set the rocks up. Then once I’m done they can hand the sand to me and I can make it nice and smooth. I don’t think I’ll break the bottom glass since I’m only 91 pounds, gosh I hope I don’t. It will make
Me question how it handle all that rock, sand and water. Then hopefully they love me dearly and just leave me in the tank as they fill it up. Of course it could have its perks I could turn into a mermaid, like in the movie splash.
