If one was truly trying to eradicate Uronema from their tank, would they need to dose for internal Uronema as well as external Uronema?

If I'm not mistaken, I think the only cure for Uronema is Chloroquine Phosphate

I'll just leave this here: https://humble.fish/uronema/

Looking back on my question, I realize that I could have worded that better. If one is trying to prevent Uronema from entering their system, does one need to dose for it in a fish internally, as well as externally? Or would external treatment affect internal treatment and vice versa?

Uronema is considered ubiquitous, it actually is a falcultative parasite. I think in most cases it just feeds on bacteria. I’m not sure what all causes it to become infective: low salinity and uneaten food are two known issues, as is fish being predisposed to it like green chromis and anthias.
