Looks like my blue green chromis has uronema and of course he's impossible to catch..

I read that uronema doesn't need a host to survive so essentially the entire tank is infested and the only way to control it is keeping your fish healthy.

Anyone have any experience with this? Good chance the chromis will die before I'm able to get him out cause he's in pretty rough shape

My experience has been that once a chromis shows visible signs they are challenging to save.

Maybe the #mods can move this to the fish disease section to get more experienced eyes on it.

Trying the Dr gs anti parasitic food.. I've used it before and it works.. Only to the fish who don't mind eating it

Will prazipro kill the uronema in the tank? Does prazipro kill bristle worms?

No and (mostly) no. Prazipro should kill bristleworms, but it doesn't do a very good job of it. ;)

Looks like no more blue green chromis for me.. Killed the chromis practically over night

So like an idiot I over dosed my prazipro.. Depleted oxygen in my tank and so far my Midas blenny is dead and my red head fairy wrasse is on the brink of death... Awesome

Thanks, the red head looked like it had a internal parasite and I've read a couple of places three times the dose can have an effect on more types of parasites so that's what I did... Looks like the Midas is gonna be the only loss which is good [emoji106]
