Just got a school of 5 blue green chromis and placed in QT. All seemed good for a few hours then I noticed this guy with what I'm guessing is uronema. I immediately pulled him and the other 4 are being treated with Prazipro. Anything else I should do besides keep a close eye on the four remaining? They will all QT for 30 days.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, that could be Uronema. Do you have access to chloroquine?

Here is my article on Uronema, in case you haven't seen it:

Thank you, Jay, and yes, I read it in its entirety last night. Unfortunately, no access to chloroquine, at least not fast enough for this guy. After I posted, I found another chromis with a similar spot and pulled him as well.

After reading your post, I'm actually upset that I bought chromis in the first place. While beautiful, they are just not worth the added stress and potential for disease.

I know. the number of green chromis that show up here with problems is disheartening. In speaking with some importers - there is a hypothesis that Covid may actually be making the problem with green chromis worse. We all know that it is freshly imported green chromis, from SE Asia, that have the worst problem with Uronema. Covid has decimated normal flight routes, and the transit times have gone way up. Since it seems that the supply chain stress is what causes this problem, it stands to reason that longer supply chains will increase the problem.
