I know there's been some discussion, but looking to see if anything has happened more recently.

Are there any reputable US-based ICP labs operating these days? I like the Triton labs but the multi-week thing is a killer - especially when something is going on and all of my test kits (Salifert and Hanna) are showing happy results.

I know icp-analysis.com/CoralVue is in Denver, but I read the 2017/18 discussion with Randy (et al) and am completely turned off unless they've done some MAJOR attitude and professionalism adjustments. (I've known for the better part of 2 decades that if you're in this hobby, you don't mess with Mr. Holmes-Farley unless you have your **** together and are ready to defend). Thx for all Randy!

So am I out of luck for a quick, reputable, and affordable turnaround?

Thanks!

Gerald

P.S. Leaving right now to send out a Triton sample, also sending first DOC which I'm curious about (results and utility). Love what ATI is doing but since I've been using Triton for a while I don't know that I see enough difference to switch (pricing isn't significant, turn-around the same, etc - just like the RO/DI).

I've not heard of any. I've used ATI and it can be completed within two weeks if you time it properly. However, with shipping and back log, queue, etc none are going to be a quick enough turnaround even if in the US or near by. They are good for an overview but the more I read various results, then look at my results, then read articles from knowledgeable people with biological and chemical backgrounds, well, they are only good for overviews and not much else.

I with they put money into the testing methodology and standards for consistency for each test with recalibrations, etc. But I don't think that can be done for 30 bucks a test and make any money to pay employees, equipment upkeep, and then everyone else who wants their piece of the pie. Just my opinion.

Can you explain what you're talking about here? I've considered switching from triton to ICP-Analysis because of the turn around but would like to know more.

Reading the following thread gives me pause. It was quite a while ago so it's possible things have changed and seeing in other threads folks do use them. Maybe I should be asking for recent reviews of the company's customer service and professionalism? If you do try them or hear anything please let me know? : )
