USA Current Marine Orbit

This is 18" over a brace on 180 with dirty glass tops @ 60/20 intensity. I'd say you're good imho.

Excuse the gha. My skimmer refuses to act right.

Awesome!! I think I’ll go for that. Thank you so much :) Will I have end up having to hang it up on the ceiling? I think the one I saw said it had a hanging kit.

Here's when I set the tank up. 30/15 intensity. 2 165w

I hung mine from brackets I mounted on the wall behind it. I was going to do a floating canopy type deal when i got the time.

Google viparspectra 165w and go to images you'll see par ratings and how a bunch of people mounted them. They have 2 adjustable ss cables. Its nothing fancy like kessil etc and your not going to be dialing in each spectrum....but it's a dang good dependable light for $105.

Here's my coral waiting on me grew under some of these

They look beautiful! Thank you so much for the help :) I will most likely attach it to the wall somehow. I'll have to adjust the tank to the lights slowly and eventually get the right spectrum. Can't wait! Hopefully, I can sell the old light for cheap, but I dunno if anyone will want it.

I hope they work out for you.

Here's some another option for nice lights that wont break the bank when your ready

Thanks again! Maybe sometime in the future haha

I have the Orbit Pro IC Leds with 2 sunblaze T5 bulbs on a 20" deep tank, maxima and derasa clams on the sand, couple anemones, started dabbling in acros and digitatas and have had success so far. Acro and digitata are 8" from light.

How big of a difference do you think the t5s are making? From what you’ve seen, do you think that they’re playing a role in your success, or is it mostly the leds?

I had good growth with LPS and the lower light SPS using just the LEDs. Once I added the T5s the growth took off especially with the SPS. I was okay with the LEDS and had just added the T5s mainly to add light that the LEDs weren't getting too.

I finally got the lights in! Does anyone have some ideas on how I should set the light channels up? Channel one is blue and channel two is white. It has the option to turn channel one on and off at a certain time, same for the other. I was thinking I could have the blues on at 8:00AM, then get the whites on at 9:00AM, turn the whites off at 1:00PM, and have just the blues on until 6:00PM for a total of ten hours. So basically, there would be blue only for six hours and white/blue for four hours. I don’t really think there’s a way to program a sunrise or sunset unless I’m stupid. It’s either that or the simple way with five hours of whites and five hours of blues. Any better options? How did you set yours up, @S2G ?
