Use Special Blend and Vodka together?

From what I understand, Special Blend is bacteria, vodka is food for the bacteria. Can they be used together?

FWIW I've used Special Blend and Prodibo's carbon source together with no problems. I don't dose vodka so I can't comment on that.

I contacted Microblift directly and they said it was fine to use the two together...in case anyone is wondering. I've used Special Blend for the past year or so and I only had to clean my tank glass once a week. Vodka dosing has made it necessary to clean it daily. I hope starting up Special Blend again will get it back to once a week. I'm lazy...lol
