Cleaning the used tank I just bought noticed a bubble? In the glass under the frame at the top what is it and is it a problem? If so can I fix it?

Looks to be the silicon that is holding the frame on. No worries.

The silicone in that area is just excess that has been smeared out. It does not provide any strength, especially that far away from the joint. The silicone between the glass is what matters and it looks fine.

just keep in mind that if water was to get up there you might get salt creep coming down in the front of the tank. my freind has an old 100 gal glass tank where the silicone seal at the top is bad. he gets salt creep from that area.

so though it might not pose a problem structurally, it might be a nuisance if salt was to creep from there.

If you don't like how it looks, you can remove the excess and re-seal it if you want. Many people reseal the corners of used tanks if they are damaged or discolored. It's visual and not structural as DCR mentioned.
