Do y’all think this just needs a new lens replacement? TIA

Does the burnt out spot still turn on or is it dead? likely the led burnt up and would need diode and lens replacement

If the diode still lights up, get some 3D reefing diffusers and removing be the lenses entirely. Clean the diode lens with a qtip and some IPA to remove any of the brown/yellow deposit (it will help some but they'll never be clear again without diode replacement). Run them senseless with the diffuser hoods on. I ran my primes that way for 3 years on my daughter's Fluval Flex 32.5, and ran Hydra 26HDs like that for much longer.

The UV diodes burn the AI plastic lenses after a certain duration. For me, about once a year. The lenses are around $4 each and I buy a bunch at a time (five hydra32 hds).

diodes would have to be replaced yourself, right? don't believe i've seen them sold on AI's website.
They sell replacement pucks if you can't do it, but ultimately, yes, if you know your way around a soldering iron, you can buy diodes and replace them, I think AI uses Cree and Osram diodes for their lights. Can't remember if they're 3w or 5w but it should be easy to find out...
