Hello all!

I recently purchased a very neglected BioCube 32. It came with a Hydor Koralia 1150. It seems oversized for this size of tank though? I added a cheap Aqueon 750 GPH circulation pump to help create some back and forth movement.
I had a hard time placing Hydor in a spot that didn’t create large amounts of sand movement.
I added a pulsing Xenia, but it’s getting blown around quite a bit so I’m not able to see any pulsing.
So I guess my question is if these circulation pumps are too big since they are AC pumps rather than adjustable DC pumps if I’m wanting to have pulsing Xenia?

Those are some seriously powerful units to use in a BioCube 32. I have a pair of Koralia 425 (one on each side with the one on the return side pushing water at a steep angle towards the front glass) and I think it’s borderline too much flow. I would consider much smaller sized units for the tank.

If you poke around the various BioCube build threads you can get a good idea of what size most people are using

Thanks for the input! Bummer that Hydor is out of business! Seems like they made great stuff that was affordable.
