I have a case of the red/brown flatworms. I've used Flatworm Exit twice, nearly nuking my tank in the process the first time. Second dosing there weren't nearly as many, and I used 1.5x the recommended amount. I thought I was done with the little jerks after this, but I noticed yesterday that yet again, the flatworms are making a comeback. Are there some strains that can survive Flatworm Exit? Or should I just dose the tank *again* with an even higher dosage?

Try adding a Melanurus to eat them? I’ve knowingly added an acro with some flatworms on it and mine immediately swam over and started hammering them. Have seen no issues since.

My tank's too small for a Melanurus, I think. It's only a 32 cube.

I thought I had about 100 or so flatworms In my tank and when I dosed exit I found out I had 10000! I dosed exit every 3 days to kill out remainders of egg cycle and still had a few stragglers !
I bought a medium adult melanurus wrasses and he has wiped them
Out !

Oh, just saw your tank size. Six line wrasse will do

I have to admit, sixlines are pretty neat. But don't they require a larger tank? Based on what I've read in the flatworm thread in the main reefkeeping forum, I might try adding a couple of blue-green chromis. That would also be a cheap way to add some color and activity to the tank.

Just remember fish are hit or miss, some will eat them and others wont. Doesnt help to try though

No . Minimum tank requirement for 6 line is 30 gallon . Wrasses are one of my favorite fish. A ton of character.
