Hey guys new to the saltwater aquariums, but i found my self running out of room in my JBJ 30. I keep buying Frags. I was at my local store tonight and saw they had a 10 gal Frag tank from Melev's reef for 60 bucks. I didnt want to pass this up as i know these go new for over $300 Not exactly sure this is an ideal tank for a daily Frag tank as it seems to be a show tank based on Melev's comments on his webpage. But I was wondering what all i needed to make this work as a everyday frag tank?

I know I need a heater, Light and return pump.

I am working on a water test right now to make sure we have no water leaks.

Don't get caught up with labels. a frag tank is a frag tank. :)

You would need a light, heater, return pump, powerhead and possibly some type of filtration in the back chamber.

Any idea on filtration? I thought about some Live rock crumbles in the back chamber. I run poly filter in my jbj but it has a rack that i place the filter in and the water runs over the overflow and through the rack and filter. I couldn't find a rack or sock that would fit. Just trying to get some suggestions.

I would skip the live rock and use marinepure blocks or balls. Any bagged media would work, it just depends on how your water is once it's set up and matured.

It would have been nice if there were chambers back there.
