I'm just throwing a question out there looking for feedback. I am in the market for lighting for a tank build. I am going back and forth on buying new, budget is around $450 for a 90 gallon (was going to run 2 AI Primes to start and upgrade to 3) or trying to get my hands on something higher end that's used. At what point is buying used not worth it anymore, and I am seeing a lot of used equipment not a huge savings over new? (Example, used Kessils and Radions not much cheaper than new.

I would not use AI Primes for a 90, they have very little useful output after approx 12" depth. If I were you I would look into a Photon V2 fixture, it's a very nice layout and control. https://www.reefbreeders.com/new-photon-v2/

Yeah, the primes are cool, and have lots of features, but start getting underpowered when you look at deeper tanks.
The photon v2 fixtures are very nice, have one myself and love it.
Sbreeflights also makes a nice led panel that’s a bit more expensive.
If it were me, I’d just go new.
