Used, not leaking, does it need to be resealed?

I've been trying to read about resealing a tank. I recently purchased a full setup from craigslist, mostly because I wanted the lights, powerheads, and a few other pieces. As we went back and forth I got what I thought was a better deal by buying the entire thing. When I went to look it was all up and running and didn't see any leaks. As I've been cleaning I noticed some of the silicone along the bottom was no longer sticking to the glass. I've been reading many threads on the topic here and some seem to indicate that these seals are cosmetic and the work is done by the seams between the panes of glass which all seem intact from what I can tell.

Tough to tell in the picture but I can fold back a portion of the silicone but it's still attached probably 1/4 of an inch out from the actual corner.

Front right corner, beat up from scrapper I'm guessing.

Back right corner, still pretty solidly attached just beat up.

I have no real desire to reseal an aquarium and even if the tank is junk I'm still pretty happy with the purchase because of all the other equipment and the price but if I could use this tank I would like to.

I'd leak test it outdoors for a couple of days before using it.

If you in no hurry I would reseal the tank.
Just clean it on your term as that is the hard part.
Resealing is easy once it is clean.

It was up and running when I ended up purchasing it and I didn't see any leaks.

I'm in no hurry. I really made the purchase for the various parts I was interested in and the tank/stand was basically a throw in. As I started cleaning it up I thought more about setting it up until I found this. I guess I can try to clean it up since I'm in no hurry or perhaps I just give up on it and keep my eye open for another opportunity. Based on what I've read I need to take the corner overflow off too in order to reseal the entire bottom seal, correct? I guess if I do end up resealing the tank I could drill the back for the return, currently the corner overflow only has 2 holes drilled in the bottom for drain and return.
