Used tank question

I just purchased a used 220 gallon. It has a lot of old coraline algae in the rear glass. i Really don’t want to buy 100 gallons of vinegar to clean this off. Will it harm anything to leave it on?

If it's dry, it should come off easily with a razor. Try one of those flat ones used to remove stickers from windshields. I keep one for the tank to remove anything my magnetic scrubber can't get.

You can use a spray bottle with 50/50 vinegar/water to go at it as well. No need to fill the whole thing up

A razor isn't going to scratch glass, but you can just spray with water if you want.

Unfortunately there’s the chance that the coralline has ‘etched’ the glass already, good thing if it’s only the back panel.
