Buying a used tank from craigslist. Any considerations I should have besides cracks, scratches or leaks?

It depends on the condition and you can
definitely use it as a bargain.

You can not reseal by just adding silicone on top of old silicone, so I would make sure seams look nice and not crumbly.

It's always nice if you can do a leak test safely.

I'd like to know brand

Check bracing if there is any to make sure no cracks

If acrylic watch for heavy bowed panels or crazed seams
