Useful smart phone apps?

I've tested out a number of smart phone apps, and other than Tapatalk (and of course the Reef2Reef app), I haven't found any that are really useful? Has anybody else found any apps that they would consider to be useful in this hobby?

I picked up "My Aquarium Logger" a coulle months ago. Handy feature is the graphing of parameters over a time period of your choosing. You can also keep list of inhabitants and have multiple tanks. Think is was $3

Same here. Really like aquaplanner. Also Tried aquirimate it has nice features and GUI but too many bugs in current release. It wiped my data hopefully will be better with time. As aquaplanner had some bugs early on, but it is pretty solid now. Aqua planer is great to log all parameters and keep logs on all. In iOS it syncs in cloud amongst multiple devices. I use it to keep track of all tanks even the ro system.

Download a free lux meter app (uses your camera) so you can measure how bright your lights are.

My tank light, aqua planner, reef doser pro, Itank calc, aquarium id. Plus I use several more.

Really like the my tank light. I use it for water changes, can out in existing salt reading, how much water your changing, and where you want salt level to be.
 
I know Jose, and I know he has worked hard on AquaPlanner for a long time, incorporating lots of user feedback over the years. Nice software!

Aquarium ID is a good one. Some stuff I don't exactly agree with 100% but it's a good basic database of different fish, corals and inverts. Its got information on lighting, nuisance algae, filtration methods. It's got videos on how to set up a tank, frag corals, acclimate fish etc. It even has a unit converter and a few other handy things. It's free if I remember correctly.
I recommend everyone should atleast have a look at it! :)
 
I JUST purchase aquaplanner lite and also PRO... it's extremely well set up with tons of details - which I love. The pro was 2.99, I purchased the lite and quickly realized I needed the pro version, a limit of 10 inhabitants with the lite version didn't work for me with my corals, snails, crabs and two fishes ;)

I'd recommend it - tracks inhabitants, where you purchased them, price paid, date etc. logs and charts water levels: temp, salinity, calcium etc. it's very organized and easy to use as well. I'm leaving out A LOT here as well.

I would say just get the pro right off the bat, because the information doesn't xfer from lite to pro if you upgrade since they're two separate apps - so after putting all of my info in, and then needing pro, I've got to do it all over again.

That's my ONLY complaint (which isn't even a valid one, I should've just read lol)..

Someone in another thread mentioned AquaticLog, which is similar to AquaPlanner but more social-based. You keep a diary/blog of your tank, which can be public or private, and record measurements, water changes, etc. The iOS app is extremely slick, although some features are web-only (ie, uploading photos/video). (a quick check on Google Play shows an Android version exists, too.) I've been going back and forth between AquaticLog and AquaPlanner, trying to decide which one I want to stick with.

I have yet to find a decent fish/coral ID app for iOS. Aquarium ID is so close to being what I want, but the UI is horribly broken and there hasn't been any updates. I might end up writing one myself if I can find the time.
