Not at all. Their 14K are very bright and not at all blue like some. I just took PAR readings myself using their 150w de bulbs. Bulbs were 6" off the surface with sensor 10" below. Initial readings are as follows.
150W 10K de = 395
150W 14K de = 375
according to the ushio their 10k and 14k HQI have the same amount of par...thats a little hard to believe won you say?
