My coral beauty angel and blue spot puffer are in quarantine and both have ich. I have decided to do ttm to treat their ich. I was gonna use two 12 gallon totes but while I was filling one up in the bath tub, the bottum blew out and I don’t want to risk it with the other. So assuming they will only be in each bucket for 2 days each, and after about 12 they will go back to the 35 gallon quarantine, will the two buckets work?

The stress might cause some problems, its hard to tell with any fish how they will react.
5 gallons is not a lot of room.
If you can keep the water moving and heated they might be ok or not.

I was gonna do hyposalinity but I don’t have a ato and ttm just seems a little more fool proof. Should I go ahead and try it? How will I know if they get too stressed and I should pull them out and try something different

If they start acting weird I would pull them out.
You should know your fish.
I have some that would be ok and others that it would not work.
Be sure to cover the bucket, an air stone will help as well as a place for the fish to hide. No bright light.
I wish you some good luck

Kinda small would be better to find a cheap 10 gallon off craiglist or facebook.

I have pvc, and air stone. The only thing is how do I know if it is just stress from having to switch tanks so much or if it is just too much stress because of the small container?
