Would a 120 watt black box led be to much for a fuge?

I put a 30 gallon tuff stuff tote in my rubbermaid sump and am using it for my fuge.

I have a extra blackbox led and was thinking of using it over the fuge, would that be ok or should I use a regular clamp light with a par38 bulb?

either. the BB will give you more light for more growth. 20 to 30% should be good depending on height.
I do have a friend doing an amazing macro tank with a mars aqua

Sounds overkill aren't they 120w? And the spectrum is more blue than chaeto require. Though I'm sure chaeto will still grow well under it.

Cheaper better option would be any 6500k bulb probably at least 10w.

I have a 5000k led bulb that will go in one of those dome lights from the hardware store, will that be ok?

Since they say full spectrum is needed, I think I will go with the black box. Now the next question is My skimmer is right next to the fuge, will the light that flows over cause any issues with the skimmer body?

some possible algae build up. same as any sump though.
