Is there a way to use a kalk reactor when not using a ato?

I top off everyday manually since I have to do about 2 gallons, is there a way to use a kalk reactor and have it added to the tank when I do the top off?

I have the option of making a 15 gallon tank a top off tank and just opening it up (valve)daily to fill the sump, could I run the kalk reactor into that tank and then just top off the sump?

The question is how would I run the reactor to give the right amount of kalk into the 15 gallon tank?

As long as you set a reactor to deliver slightly (or more than slightly) less than the daily evaporation, it will be fine. Then the manual top off will be a lot smaller.

But it cannot all be added at once. That will raise pH too much. It needs to be added slowly over many hours.

So no, the valve opening idea is a no go.
