Hello everyone. I recently purchased a used 90 Gallon tank and after getting it home and water testing it I noticed that it had a small leak. I found an individual on craigslist who charged me $120 to reseal it from the ground up. He used Momentive 100 Series Silicone and direct injected it. Below are pics of the job in progress and the end result. I guess my main question is, should I trust the tank or buy a new one?

Doesn't look very good. I have resealed a tank and used it just fine. It was a 5ft tank. That doesn't look very clean. There are a few cideos online with tips so you can do it yourself. Once you're done throw some water in it and let it sit for a week or until you trust it.

I just got it home and the seams actually look pretty clean. I will try to take some pics with more light and post them.

Got you. The other pics weren't as good as these. I think you should be okay as long as you water test.

Yep, definitely going to test. The guy had some other bigger tanks he was working on as well.

Looks pretty good. If the are no leeks then you know your good
