Using a WeMO to control Tunze ATO

I have a Tunze ATO on my RSR 250 and one thing I noticed is that it turns on multiple times an hour. I would assume this would ultimately shorten the life of the pump, and its loud, on and off, on and off...

I was thinking that I could use the timer functions on a WeMo outlet to only allow power to the system every few hours, leave it on for 30 minutes or so to ensure full top off.

Has anyone done this, with any controller and how did it work out for you?

Seems like the wemo I had would loose internet connection and have to be reset manually. I would install a cheap manual timer or a digital programmable one from harbor freight have it turn on 4 times a day
