Using anti-freeze to cycle...

Thank you all for the warm welcome and some of you killed me with your responses! :);Woot I figured you all had heard and seen it all from newbies to the hobby so the anti-freeze popped in my head, I thought "I bet they've never heard this". ;Hilarious

To use anti freeze to cycle, you must dose motor oil. I’m assuming you use windshield wipers to clean your glass, right?
Yes I use wipers for the inside of the tank. I also use DEF fluid as a coral booster to things clean. I use diesel fuel to clean the outside glass, skimmer, and filter socks. When the want to give the tank a treat. I dose acid at times. Is a great setup working well at a keeping thing sterile.

Lol! Wait what are you talking about? I use antifreeze in my tank all the time. How do you think my corals fluoresce bright green under the blue light. Use the orange dex-cool from gm vehicles for orange corals. No seriously, that's just a joke. That would be horrible. Haha

Welcome home, you will love it here!

I’ve heard arsenic works better ;). I kid I kid! :)

;Inpain Not really but did want to say hello to everyone and kind of new to the hobby and from reading through the forums I see there are a lot of reef educated folks on here so when I need help I know I'll get it. Eric
Interesting way to get attention. I have to be creative too[emoji14]
