Using AutoDoser as ATO?

Has anyone attempted this on a small tank? I'll be away for about 1 week and i usually need to top off 1G every couple of days. Even if i pre-top off to the limit w/o screwing up salinity, it wont last longer than 3 days.

Figured I evaporate about 1L per day so if I just temporarily hook up a free port of my autodoser into my rodi bin set for 1000ML per day dose, i should be OK right? or would that burn out the doser pump b/c it'd be running for a long time per dose.

yes ...I’m doing it now


put a water level on your sump to tweak it but if the evap rate is consistent it can go for a while ..
this has been in operation for a few months and works like a charm so far

It should be fine. You could split it up over several doses during the day if you wanted.

Should bd fine. I ding trust tradition ATO systems. I prefer top off using a perilistic pump
