Hey everyone!
I have purchased a bottle of calcium carbonate to use like coral snow.
My question is for people who use this.
How much do you use and how often?
Do you mix first in cup of water or just straight into the tank.
Thanks.
Paul.

There's a recipe somewhere on here if you want to make the KZ product. I just mix a 1/4 tsp with some water and dose it by a Tunze right into the tank. It's fun to see the flow pattern and reach.

I don't have a set schedule. I used to dose it regularly to combat vermetids, not sure if it helped or not. Now I just use it when I stir up the tank to help clear it up. It acts as a flocculent and also makes my filter socks more aggressive, like a diatom filter of sorts. I will say the water is gin clear afterwards.
