Using chemi clean with hob skimmer.

I have both green cyano and the red kind covering a good amount of my rocks. If i was to use chemi clean what would i do with my hob skimmer. Turn it off or else it will overflow into my tank/floor. Thanks for your input.

Turning the skimmer off during treatment isn't going to hurt anything.

Ok. Everything i read was leaving it on with cup off but they all had sumps. Just going to add an airstone. Thanks!
