It says to have a lot of air so would it be fine on a 30 gallon tank to just run a 400 empirior filter and I've got a mj1200 turned down and a coralife super skimmer 65 and I know I have to take the carbon out and the chemipure blue out but would this be enough airation or should I turn on bubblestrip too

Your skimmer is all the air you need. That said, your skimmer is going to overflow when you put the chemiclean in. Be prepared. It lasts for several days.

How long did your skimmer act like this? I cant even turn mine on because as soon as i do it overfills. It would be pointless to do this because i would need tons of tank water ready. Any advice?

Take the cup off and let it overflow in your sump. To stop it from overflowing, I added carbon and changed water thru skimmer.

I just turned my skimmer off and adjusted my circulation pump to agitate the surface more. Did a 20% water change 48 hrs after application and turned PS back on. Works like a champ!

If your collection cup/skimmer is adjustable just raise it up so the profusion of bubbles doesn't make it all the way up and overflow - that's what I did with a my IM Ghost Skimmer.

I tried everything mentioned and what worked for me was this combination: raise up skimmer 1/2", let over flow for 3 days, change carbon and fill back up with more that usual. Let sit for 24 hours. After that i turned the skimmer on, it filled my collection cup about half full and then everything calmed down. That was this morning so this evening i will lower it and adjust skimmer to original settings.
