Can i use coins to verify weight of a scale?

Not with any real accuracy.. I think a nickel is supposed to weighs 5 grams but depending on the wear they will all weigh slightly different

Does the scale have a 'tare' function? If so, you can place a small plastic or paper cup on it, tare it, then add water to it using a syringe from one of your test kits. 1 ml of water weighs 1 gram. (5 ml = 5g, 100 ml = 100 g, etc.) If you don't get the appropriate grams for however many milliliters you add to the cup, you'll know your scale needs to be calibrated.

Yes it does i can try that thanks

This turned out to be a cheap alternative for a "checker" thanks guys.

What if it reads .03 g higher?

Then it displays 0,6% higher than it should. This good / accurate.

5,03 / 5,00 = 1,006
Equals 100,6%
