Using colored Vinyl tubing issues?

Wondering if anyone has used any color tubing with ill effects? I'm looking at the primochill tubing. Used for CPU liquid cooling so great with sharp bends.


Says it's its FDA approved, ROHS compliant pvc, DEHP and phthalate free, environmentally responsible and no n toxic. Here is the web site so you can look at it yourself.

First, their largest tubing is pretty small... So your applications of said tubing may be limited...

Second, I am not sure FDA approved means it is food grade material. This is probably some sort of machine grading, not food grading. Your CPU does not care if plasticides or other randomly leaching chemicals are in the water...

It would be wise to contact the Primochill to see what they think, and potentially get some proper technical data on the product. They must have metrics on leaching chemicals and such. Some of their products claim to be 'food safe', but it would be a good idea to see if the exact products you want to use are...
