I need to get a dosing pump and a ato. Does anyone have any feedback on using a dosing pump with ro water in it. I will be dosing alk, cal,and mag. If I buy a 4 head pump I could just fill the fourth container with ro water. It may take a few weeks to get it zeroed in but it seams like the evaporation is about the same every week.

I would rather have it via a ATO system, evaporation varies on ambient temperature.

Evaporation happens differently during the wintertime is more During the summer it's less not also if you have a rimless tank or if you take us cover has variable factors I would not recommend it

I have never ran an ato. My top off would be above my sump. I was kind of worried about a siphon and the whole tank dumping in to the sump.

If your reservoir is located above your sump, I would think you would not need a pump at all. Just get a float valve. It will shut the flow off when the sump is at the proper water level.

That's what I have. Just have a bubble magus float valve and 1/4 inch tubing from the 10 gallon tank to the vavle

The temp in the room is maintained within a 2 degree window. But a smart person doesn't ask for advice and not use it. I just ordered a float valve kit.
Thanks
