Havent purchased any corals in a while and just realized my coralrx is from 2016... was wondering if I should skip dipping my corals I just received or to just go for it as normal?

I'm a person who is very cautious when it comes to things being expired so I personally wouldn't use anything that's expired, especially that long

Was sort of thinking the same thing. Just don’t know if I should risk adding 9 new corals without any dip.

I've heard of it not being as effective 6 or so months after the exp. date. I would just go get a new bottle to be safe.

I'm not sure if you did use it, it would have any effectiveness on doing what it is supposed to do. Is there any way you can call some if your LFS to see if they have any in stock? Or ask them if you can have a little baggy full of their store use? Our LFS gives us some of theirs if we need it and they don't have any in stock

Should have looked at the bottle before the corals came, but now they’re just drip acclimating as we speak. So can’t really go get some as of now

How far is your LFS or Aquarium Supply store? Corals can stay in a container for several hours if the temperature is maintained.

Significant distance away. Plus already missing time out of my day for the coral pickup from shipping and whatnot. Most likely going to just add them to my tank and hope for the best.

Do you have a magnifying glass? I would at least look at each coral. It's better then doing nothing.

I doubt it will damage them, at worst it will be less effective, but still more effective than skipping dip altogether. In your situation I would use it.

What kind of corals? If a home improvement store is closer to you than LFS, you could pick up some Bayer to use for dip.
