I saw that. They are the 1/4" ones though. You need the bigger ones too, according to the vendor I got my other ones from.

Although I could get 15 to my door for $100. I'm gunshy after the $150 worth of ones didn't seem to do anything and they just died.

If you actually saw and caught one of these critters in your tank...it's likely infested. Pull the zoa's you can for dips and use FWE asap. You need to look for eggs. The FWE treatment will not kill them...scrape them where you can...and treat again. The clam should be fine in your tank unless you are doing something more than double strength. I would also buy wrasses. Get a couple different kinds...they are great, colorful additions to a reef tank anyway. Keep in mind the FWE treatment may not completely work...you will need to be diligent daily with your tank. Unfortunately...no easy answers here.

I just ordered 15 berghias. I'm going to try introducing them differently this time. I saw someone put them in a container with a rock that has a few aiptasia on it and let them settle in there first.

Cbb! A smaller one will get those tinys with ease! I've had aptasia twice and both times used a cbb and within 2 weeks it will go from hundreds to none.... Gl

Craziest thing... I was doing my nightly red-light inspection and guess what I found...two berghias! I was really starting to doubt whether or not what I have are aiptasia. I've been emailing with Salty Underground and she's not entirely sure either.

Looking at the behavior here, I'm hoping it didn't go after that one because it is something other than an aiptasia. But they couldn't be alive for 2 months with no food.

Yeah they are still eating because they have some brown on them. That was exactly how the first berghia i tried acted as well. I never actually saw mine eating any but after a couple months i noticed some aptasia gone. Mine look just like yours. I screwed up the berghia because i put them in my over flows and split them up. Nor did i buy enough. I started them in over flows because that's where the most aptasia was, and no preditors to eat them. This time I'm removing the wrasse from my frag tank and I'll start them there.

That's good to hear. I'm going to try introducing these guys differently. Last time I put them in a shot glass and leaned the shot glass against some rock. This time I think I'll put them in a larger container in the tank and put a small piece of rock with aiptasia on it with them.

Lisa at Salty Underground has been great. There's still some doubt that these are all aiptasia but I'm hoping so. I'm thinking about setting up a 2.5g tank to try and raise some berghia to reintroduce in a couple months.
