After watching several videos of people combining filter floss, a coke bottle and a powerhead, it occurred to me that I could pack an old fluidizer (reactor) with floss and run it to lower solids, etc in the water stream.

Anything wrong with my thinking? Been running it for two days and the water definitely looks clearer.

Sounds like a mini canister filter.

Fine as long as it doesn't become a nitrate factory.

Nothing wrong with doing that as long as you change it out often to actually remove whatever got caught in the filter
