Using gha instead of chaeto

I have ran out of sockets to add a power head to the back chamber of my tank which stops me from using chaeto as the flow is too low so instead I’m going to try replace it with green hair algae or any naturally occurring algae, will this be an effective source of nutrient export?

Sure as long as you remove some of it regularly. (export)
It is used by some in algae reactors

Gha was taking too long to grow so I decided to add chaeto and it seems to have thrived
