Using KHG to control Ca Reactor

My 150 gal mix reef tank hits 20 month now and wanted to share my newest addition on kh auto controlling!!!

I added my set up with KHG kh guardians which is now auto testing my tank kh 8 time a day.

It transfer the data to my apex via the bnc cable.

Here’s a 7 day kh curve I accomplished.

Ca reactor’s CO2 outlet control by my apex through this following code.

Once KHG report back kh higher than 8.5 it will stop the co2.

This makes fine tuning Ca reactor easier and more precisely. And once it’s tuned I only will need to change it when kh consumption increase with coral grow.

Hope this helps anyone interested in auto testing equipment and control of Ca reactor.

KHG can control Ca Reactor by itself without apex too using a Ca reactor module. So it’s a stand-alone unit for people without apex.

I’m a non Apex reefer and in need of an alk controller. Have you had any issues with your KHG? Ie. set up, hardware, replacement parts, support?

Have no issues at all and their customer service is first class in the line.
