Using Lanthanum chloride in Neptune ddr

Is it safe to put/use products that contain Lanthanum chloride ( I use Elimi-phos) in neptune ddr?
Ddr is acrylic i believe and will LC cause any damage?

You are keying in on acrylic and that is wise. My first recommendation would be to run this by Tropic Marin as I do not know what components make up Elimi-NP. As you know some products are not acrylic or plastic friendly such as NoPox but I've not dosed Elimi-NP this way so cannot comment.

I will say that I have seen a white film or residue on my refugium panes after doing a round of LC dosing. I have seen this both with Phosphate E and a diluted SeaKlear mix. In both instances the residue was a direct result of lowering a high amount of phosphate in a 20 gallon area. There was a high particulate / cloudy water that I was using a canister filter to remove.

So in my case/example above it is the effect of dosing and not storage like you are asking about. Shoot TM a email. @Lou Ekus any thoughts on the Elimi-NP being stored for automatic dosing in acrylic containers? Also how does it work to store this way.

Lanthanum products are fine in any container you'd put tank water in. It will have no interaction with plastics.

Yeah - mix up on my part. My point was only to suggest ask before screwing up the container he is using. You know more about the LC based product but NoPox for example is not good in acrylic. Different product I know.

When I need to reduce phosphates (not often these days lol) I use a Dos to dose LC directly into the body of my skimmer. The reaction happens and I believe the bulk of any particulates is skimmed out.

Lanthanum is like sodium or calcium or magnesium. No interactions with any plastic. NOPOX and other organics like vinegar and vodka can impact plastics.

There is no issue storing or dosing ELIMI-NP in acrylic containers. And, as long as you can get the doser to dose the correct small amount, without diluting, the hold and dosing works fine that way.
