Morning all!

I set up a frag system last year and ran out of cash so have been running 2 G4 XR30 pro radions over it but there is not enough coverage. In a way it’s been handy having lower light corals in the end without coverage but that is changing as selling my corals has started to kick off. With the Gen 6 radions now here I was going to stick a few of them over my Reefer and move my current gen 5 lights onto my frag system along with my two gen 4 pros. My question is can I run 2 G4 XR30 pro lights with 2 Gen 5 XR30 pros and control all 4 lights together and have the tank not look totally unbalanced? I am fully aware of how different these lights are in terms of spectrum, spread etc but can I even get it close? Many thanks in advance for any info or experience you can give.

Yes, you can run the pair of G4s and G5s through Mobius together. I'm not sure how a single lighting schedule will look for all 4, so you may have to split those up, ie: tank left, tank right.

You'll also be able to upgrade your G5 lights to G6.

Yes, there's no issue with that whatsoever. I run two G4s and a G5 over my tank right now. If you use the Mobius app, you can either control the lights individually or just have the app run the same program at the same time (which is what I do). Depending on how old your G4s are you might need to update the firmware or even possibly install the Bluetooth antenna in them for Mobius.

Sounds like a plan then. My G4's have the Bluetooth chip so that sorts that issue out right away. And here was me considering the Neptune Sky lights...
