Hello all, I am looking into purchasing an aquarium controller, and my most recent exploration has been coralvue hydros.

I have a couple 24v dc pumps with the same pin layout as the hydros wave engine pump connectors, however my pumps are not officially supported, is there any way I could make these work?

My only holdup here is that it appears that even for pumps with the same pin layout you need an adapter cord, so I don’t know which one to pick?

The pumps in question are an IM mighty jet 538gph and a jebao slw-10.

thanks for any help anyone can provide!

No. If the pumps are not on the supported hardware list, they will not work. The 3 phase pump driver chips in the wave engine are specifically programmed for each pump that it supports. Using an unsupported pump could cause the driver to damage your pump and/or not work correctly on the wave engine. The wave engine has smarts to tell you when a pump isn’t working right, so if using a non compliant pump, the wave engine might remain in an error state.

Thanks for letting me know! It’s cool that it has all of that capability for if I do get supported accessories.

Just doing some research on this myself and had this same question regarding the Deepwater BLDC12. It seems to have the same type of connection, if someone could help me get that up and running, it'd be a huge help. I don't need it to be direct drive, I'm OK with using the ac brick, it's just being able to control it that would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

After a ton of reaserch I was not able to find a solution for using non-supported pumps with hydros. You could still plug it into their power bars and have basic on and off functions from the app, this is what I ended up doing.

Does the pump have a 0-10v control input? If so the X4 and Wave Engine have 0-10v outputs you can use to control pumps that have that input. The Wave Engine LE does not have the 0-10v outputs.

Not sure. Here's a photo of the power supply and control module. It would be awesome if I could get this running with the WaveEngine.
