i have some old base rock that i bought around 10 years ago, it was in saltwater for about two weeks. if i use this rock will it cause a mini cycle in my tank that has been up and running for three months.

Anything you add to your tank in some way, shape, or form is going to go through a little cycle. It really all depends on how much you are adding to what size tank, and if the rock is "clean" I'd give it a good rinse and a scrub if its been sitting around. Chances are that sitting for 10 years it just needs a good cleaning first. If in doubt, just give it its own cycle in a plastic tote bin or something for awhile. I always have rock laying around here and there from tanks past. I'd had great results by just giving them a good soak and a scrub/rinse before i put them in my tanks. If there is nothing on/in them to polute your tank and you are not adding a bunch at a time, by volume compared to tank size, in my experience you will be just fine. A three month old tank should be able to handle it.
